Our Consulting Philosophy

We are not just another admissions consulting firm boasting of alums from top schools. For starters, we have admissions office experience. Our approach stems from reading real essays and evaluation real applicants.

We do not view the candidate as a mere application form. We are partners with you in this journey right from the beginning and through the end. Though it is common knowledge that great academic credentials and standardized test scores boost your candidacy, in our experience, the strongest applications are ones in which candidates present their stories in a thoughtful manner. Just as a simple story when told well can lead to a blockbuster, so can modest credentials when presented well can lead to admissions success. Because of these reasons, we approach each engagement as a partnership because a thoughtful application cannot be crafted without partnering with the applicant. We want to learn about you as much as you want to learn about business schools. So if you are looking for an amazing admissions journey, and a buddy or mentor with whom you will walk till the end, look no further.

Thirdly, there are no boundaries or structures around how we work. We will not give you a timesheet, nor restrict the number of hours you spend with us. Once you engage, our direct line is available to you 24/7 and you may call us whenever you want. Similarly, we do not pose restrictions on the number of times we edit essays, or change the essay topic we have outlined. While most clients are very happy with our first edit, we edit as many times as required, till you and we are both satisfied with the outcome.

Lastly, we are a very lean operation. Everyone works directly with the founder, who will be your point of contact for every element of your application, including editing. The edited application, recommendations and resume will be shared with our internal team member, an alum from a top school or a language expert, for a second opinion or second draft, if required, and also for mock interviews. This approach restricts the number of candidates we can work with, but allows for personal attention, which is much required.

Even though we have limited capacity, we do not refuse candidates based on their prior backgrounds or test scores. We believe that everyone has the ability, and can get into a top school. We’ve had candidates with sub 700GMAT scores admitted at great schools, and often with scholarships. So even if you feel you do not make the cut, give us a call. The Team

We are a lean team of alums from top global schools such as Harvard, Wharton, Stanford, and INSEAD, to name a few. Most of us are not only industry experts, but also trained practitioners of admissions. We have an understanding not only of your background, but also of the emotional intelligence required to craft a successful application.

The Founder

Abhishek’s career spans diverse industries such as consumer goods, education and entertainment. His experience includes work in the US, Canada, China, India and Africa. Post his MBA, he worked at the ISB for 4 years as the founding member of the Mohali campus, and most recently as Senior Associate Director, Student Lifecycle. At ISB, his responsibilities included placements, admissions, L&D, corporate outreach, and student engagement. During this time, he reviewed applications, conducted interviews, and evaluated hundreds of candidates.

Abhishek earned his MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), and a BS in Mechanical Engineering Virginia Tech, USA, where he held multiple scholarships, and graduated with distinction. He was also accepted at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and IIM Bangalore.
